i saw one in the parts for sale section and was wondering if any of you alckyholics were using this kit...i may just go ahead and get it...

I've had one for about 3 yrs. I don't drive my car much and would run 110 always. Lately though, I have been using 93 octane pump gas and 70/30 denatured/water mix. It uses jets to regulate the volume sprayed and a hobbs switch for turn on point. Its hard to see the system the way I have it installed. Maybe alittle harder to setup than the SMC (because you have to open the hood to change spray on point and jet size, but once its dialed in, why change it?

hmmm...good point...

do you like it though....i really want alky, and i was waiting to get an smc kit, but this one is readily available ( i think )....

Yeah I like it, but I have my combo to the point where I am not changing anything. I sometimes play with boost via BstC, but the .035" jet I have in there works for my entire boost range. When I go to the track, in goes the race fuel. Just figure out what a kit is worth to you.

JC Alky kit...

I've been using one for a while now. No problems to speak of, other than the pump biting the dust due to lack of lubricant with denatured.:(
I bought my kit before the SMC came out, so I can't really say anything about Steve's kit. The JC kit doesn't have all the "bells and whistles" of the SMC, but it gets the job done. Sure, you have to adjust the turn-on point and play with the jets, but once that's done, forget about it.
Jay's kit comes with a really nice alky container made out of aluminum with a power 6 logo on the cap. Alky feed line is braided, too. Nice kit.
If you'd like to know anything else, drop me a e-mail or PM.
