I'm gonna buy the Kirban AFPR and I'd like to know if its something I can do in an hour in my driveway, or will it be a decent project? Also, should I do that before the 340 pump or after? And do I need to do any adjusting on the regulator or does it come pre-set at 45?

Should take about a half hour tops. Maybe as little as 10 minutes.

To adjust the AFPR you will need a fuel gauge so you can see the settings. Get one with an extended braided line to monitor fuel pressure for tuning/trouble shooting.

Start the threads by hand for the two small bolts and the fuel line pipe thread.

Tom,
Anyone that has a little patience and knows how to use a wrench can do this.

As someone else mentioned, get a fuel pressure gauge. Kirban sells one that will mount on the end of your fuel rail, however there are better & more accurate ones out there.

Depending on how old your car is, you might want to get spare o-rings for the FPR to rail connection, and the fuel line to FPR fitting. They can tear/rip and cause leaks. I use vasaline to lubricate the o-rings.

Good luck,
-Banning.

im about to put i a regulator also. if i do mess up the o rings and seals can new ones be bought at discount auto parts or any other parts shop?

Yes, o-rings can bought at local auto parts. FYI, attach the fuel line to the AFPR before installing the AFPR to fuel rail. Makes it easier, at least for me. Just make sure the o-ring is lubed.
