How full do you fill your tank?

I have the SMC tank. For the others who have it, how far do you fill up the tank? I go until it is at the shoulder bend of the tank. is this good enough? Lately, it looks like the connector on the tank where the grey cable goes to looks like alchy is leaking out from it. Is this because I overfilled the tank?

Don't fill it to the very top. Fill it just below the shoulder.
