How much to paint fiberglass fillers ???

My new filler arrived in okay condition, scratched, scuffed and dull looking. They cannot go on the car as is. Took them to a body shop (an old friend of my wife) and was told about $300 to sand, go over with with polyester, prime, paint and clear coat. The finish on my car still looks new and want them to match.
He said about 6 hours labor on all 4 pieces. Is this a good price

Front and Rear?

That sounds a little steep, but they will have that automotive finish on them. Don't really understand the polyester coating.

I just painted mine with some black spray lacquer I bought at my local hardware store. About $4 a can. Sounds stupid, but they looked great for about 5 years. I will do them again when i do the body bushings and let them bake in the sun for a day. We get enough of it here in Ga. I am thinking about 4 or 5 coats.

that does seem awful high, if you were closer i'd do it for price of materials.
