How do people burn chips? what is involved (hardware/software) to do that. Other than the obvious brains and technical know-how. Thanks

There's been some interesting things happening in the last year or so.
In case you've missed them you might want to investigate, the Ostrich, and Prominator. Both have been well discussed here:

You'll see mention of Moates Web page, who is a great source for the parts for doing the conversion to be able to do *On the fly tuning*, if you get to that level.

At a min, IMO, you'll want to convert the ecm to handle 29C256 EEPROMS, so that you don't have to mess with the silly plastic holders, and eprom eraser.

Hey bruce, thats some pretty cool stuff, I've been out of the TPI scene for a while, but that where I learned about EPROM burning.
Will the Ostrich or Prominator work in place of the 2732A chips or whats involved to use either device on a TR?
Or would you need to convert the EPROM slot over to the 29C256 slot, then use the device, but only the bottom 4k?
