Can anyone tell me the trick to removing the headrest from the seat? Can it be done without removing the seat cover? T.I.A.

There's a locking mechanism inside the seat that keeps the seatrest from going too high. Take a flat piece of metal that will bend without snapping (I used a flexible metal ruler). I can't remember if it's the front or the back (think it's the back), but raise the headrest up to the top and slide the ruler down along the metal of the headrest. Push the headrest down and this will trip the mechanism. Then you should be able to pull the headrest up. Try to keep the ruler in the same place as it's coming back up.

Good luck.

I used a hacksaw blade. Slide blade front side of headrest up and down until u can feel the click. Pull headrest and blade up together.

Chris, Frank...Thanks guys, got 'em out. I did find with the hacksaw blade method, be very gentle. I have about 4" - 6" of broken blades down in my seat. Should have used better quality blades....Thanks again!!!

Ouch... doubt they slid the whole way down. I think there is a zipper on the bottom, but I doubt you can get to them. You just have added weight for the track. Glad to hear ya got it going. I forgot about the hacksaw.

Oh Well, the good news is, the broken blades are on the pass. side and I don't ride over there...Passenger: "whats that poking in my back?"...Driver:"don't know, must be your imagination...deal with it!!
