Once car is fully warmed I try to keep the iac just barely off of completely closed. I want the throttle as open as possible, but still have the IAC keeping control of the idle. Just enough to watch the bouncing ball at idle. Too much IAC and you can have trouble with stalling on decel. it is not near as critical as on a stock car. Your throttle follower settings will probably give you more trouble than setting the base IAC. Be sure you throttle follower settings are at zero for idle and start to ramp up within a few degrees of your idle TPS setting.
 
AGAIN--FULLY WARMED UP
I like to see small numbers, 3-10, but I wouldn't kill yourself spending time on it. I will keep opening the throttle to get the IAC where it actually closes completely, then back it out a turn so that it just barely is controlling the idle.
