Has anyone ever had to replace this cable before? The sleeve broke loose from the mounting points and instead of the wire moving to control the position of the door, the entire sleeve moves. The good thing is, I can take the glove box out and manually adjust the door. However, I don't want to have to do this every time I need to make an adjustment. I bought a replacement cable from gbodyparts, I was just wondering if anyone had to replace this part and had any pointers. I think I am going to need to remove the climate control unit to reconnect the cable, but I was hoping there was another way of doing it. I inserted a picture of the cable I am talking about. If not for anything else, but future reference. For people who aren't turning these cars into complete race cars and want to cruise in them it is nice to have heat and AC and my car is 27 years old and these parts where out.

I changed mine by just dropping the glove box. Very easy, maybe 5 minutes or 10 if you drink a beer in between removing the old one and installing the new one.

Cool, I know how to disconnect to from the door pivot that is the easy part. The part I am not sure about and I will need a flash light to do is the side that is connected to actual lever or the part the lever moves. I was trying to look last night and I had a 1000 watt light, which made it harder to see, and the vacuum lines were also in the way and so I gave up trying to figure it out. This evening when I get home, I will take a flash light and see if I can remove the old cable.
