As some of you know, my gn was wrecked 2 months ago from today, Sad day. For those of you who dont know. This is how it happend.

I was sitting at a stop light at the intersection of kingshighway and broadway waiting for the light to turn green around 11:30-11:40pm. I put the car in park and decided to look for some CD's.

I look in my rear view mirror only to see a Grillie and a Ford logo a split second before the wreck. BOOM! My car was LITERALY ran over by a jacked up FORD F-150, an older model one. His tired hit in the middle of my back bumper. Made its way up crushing my trunk, and my roof.

The front left tire landed in the passangers seat. broke both t-tops. I was lucky to be alive, not to mention dropping my friend off 5 min before it happend.

So thats what happend. I was stuck driving my moms eclipse for the time being. I happend to look at several cars to replace my beloved GN.

I went from wanting an SRT-4, but soon corrected myself and taught myself that FWD + alot of power is bad.

Then i decided to check out a 6spd V8 type car. Still wanted the F/I, so i decided to try and buy a 03-04 Cobra, however the price and insurence didnt seem to agree with my budget. So i scrapped that idea.

Running out of cars to choose from i decided to check out a few ls1's. I was dissapointed in them.

As i was going to stl with my brother we were cruizing down Manchester and i see a beatiful 86 GN go by.. It was then it hit me. I wanted my gn back.

So now i am in the search of another GN. This car just CANT be replaced.

My search begins.....

Welcome back,

Wow, that's some story. Please don't tell me the person driving the truck was drunk or something like that. I just hate things like that.

Good luck in your search for a GN.

That sounds like the position I'm in right now. It's been a year or two since I sold the 87 and do I ever miss having a GN around. First thing that has to happen is for me to sell my Mustang, then find a nice driver-type GN/T-type to drive/tweak a little. Good luck on finding a GN......I know the feeling of missing a turbo Buick.

Good luck in your search , hope you find one soon & welcome back.

Jesse

wow dude:eek: that was close, thank goodness your still around, and is the buick totaled? there's a nice looking gn around here, the guy normally has it parked inside iron gates, but i'm sure there was a 4-sale sign on it? any way a florida gn usually means no rust:) , well its good to hear no one was killed, if -u- like i'll stop and ask how much he wants, and whats with that memory lapse you had going on there an srt/ a ford:eek: whew that was close:D

yes he was drunk, 3.5 times over the legal limit! hes in jail tho ;)

he waas SO close to killing himself w/ achole(spelling) poisoning,... i wish he would have, i would still have my buick now

OMG! 3.5 times over.. that's 2.8 (legal limit of .08). That's so wrong. I hope they really did throw the book at him.

He really should be dead, by his on BAC. I think I woulda got outta the car and finished off what the alcohol started.

Once again, good luck.

sorry to hear about the car.

from what i've seen recenly this is not the time to buy a new gn, there up there on prices now. i was looking for a new car recently and looked at the 1.8 t golfs and jettas, there pretty fun and fairly fast cars. maybe not what your looking for but worth a mention. the audi a4's on ebay are really cheap, same car.

To me,.. only two cars i would consider besides the buick are the SRT-4 and the SVT Cobra.

FWD = a big no no

however.. i am attracted to an 04 cobra... still... 6spd.. supercharged... high 12s stock with a good driver.. and a pulley intake filter and cat back.. would put me in the mid to high 11s
for about 1000 bucks and under
