I'm thinking the 97's had the 4T65E too, it was some of the 96 Riv's that had the Series II SC engines with the 4T60E. Correct me if I'm wrong.

My 97 Regal GS (SC3800) has the 4T65E. I am painfully certain as I had to buy some very expensive GM parts when rebuilding it that would've been available in the aftermarket for the 4T60.

i have a 4t60e im afraid to say, would like a 4t65e but oh well, where exactly r these aftermarket parts for my tranny? i wouldnt know where to look since the grand prix stores online i know of only sell parts for the 4t65e

on the subject of this thread though, the '97 grand prix gt's only about 10% had the 4t65e's but '98+ all 3.8 grand prix's i believe have it now, dont know how different the numbers for the regals might have been though
