I want to switch to TH400

my car is entering the 10's soon and i just hear to much junk about these 200 box's and how they cant take it. i want to go th400 i think.. is this a good idea and hopefully be the last trans i have to build for a while. how much you think it will cost and should i get a prebuild trans from B&M out of summit for 1000 bucks and install it or do i need a adapter... help me out please. thanks
