I was looking around yesterday and noticed what looks like to me the IAT sensor just hangin. Its been tuned with a TT chip. Is it not needed?

I do believe that some / most versions of Eric's chip ignore IAT.
See what version chip you have and ask Eric.
Hence - with a cold air intake, people get lazy and dangle it.
I hadn't quite figured out - why if Eric's chip ignores IAT - why don't they remove the IAT sensor?
Perhaps it throws a code - I dunno.
Drill a hole somewhere decent in the air inlet, and mount it - it's still nice to view on the SM.

Caspers sells an extension cable if you need more length.
Or - butt splices....

If you are going to use it, mount it after the intercooler for better results.

I put mine here
