Ignition Questions

Hi i am a newbie around here and own a 1987 GN. I have a few questions regarding the ignition system and though someone could shed some light. First off is an easy one what would be the reccomended ignition wires for a GN be ?? My other question is for people who have switched to the type 2 ignition. Do any aftermarket parts have to be used to perform this swap or can an entire factory system be swapped. if so what are the results like, any problems. Thanks guys and sorry for the long post.

As far as the wires, I like Red Armstrong's which are available at Quad Air Inc. As for the ignition swap, I never done it but I beleive instructions are available here GNTTYPE.ORG. Hope this helps.
