I'm in the market for some new injectors. I think I'm leaning toward 42.5's. However, I do not know what I need to support these injectors or if that are proper for my application.

I'm running an 86 GN. Stock ECU, injectors, turbo, exhaust.
I have a walbro 340/ howired, 62mm intake and matched plenum with RJC plate. And a TPS-TEC.

The car runs and idles fine. But it gets about 10-14 mpg and recently started shuddering at highway speeds. Nothing crazy but enough to make me worry.

I'm in CA so gas is 91 octane.

I have a LT1 MAF and a trans+ that has yet to be installed.

I'm looking for a reliable driver, gas milage that is closer to stock (25mpg) and since I don't race but want to have some cajones on the street I suppose I'll want to be 11 second capable. (yeah I know I need to change the exhaust and turbo-but that's later.)

Anyone have some suggestions as to what I need? injector, chip, extender (?), .....

Any help is appreciated. Thanks. :)

42.5 or 009 is a very nice injector and will take you into the 11's. With those injectors I would get a chip from Eric @ Turbotweak makes the best chips around.

Also I didnt see a Fuel Pressure Regulator on the list also need one of those accufab are a pretty nice unit. Around $100 bucks.

Hope this helps

Thanks Boost86, Actually I have a Billet FPR and a rail gauge as well as the KB full Ram air set up...I forget sometimes, what all I've got on the car...

What should a chip and injecotrs run price wise? I found a set of 42.5's from aggressive for $249 on sale. Sounds like a decent price to me...

I would jump to 50s your so if u ever upgraded your turbo to a 50 or 60 series u have enough injector. Also u would still be getting 25mpg as long as your foot not a rock

What turbo do u have now?

I ran the new mototron 60/65# injectors for a while with the stock turbo with no issues....I knew I was goingt o get bigger/faster later so don't worry about going too big with the injectors...as long as the chip maker knows what to do the drivability will be the same...and Eric knows what he is doing with the 60/65#ers for a chip.
