Injectors not firing

I just rebuilt my engine and dropped it in and was test driving my car and while i was driving my headlight went out and was pulled over had suspended license and my car was impounded it was running fine and when I got it out it drove a little but shitty and then stalled. I'm getting spark and gas but won't run, will run on starting fluid... The reason I bring the impound up is cause there shady, they stole my friends tv in dash. Did they steal and swap a part possibly? Could it just be a relay? Maybe the the computer , if so would I just be better off getting the 86-87 style one? I kno there's a sticky but it's so odd to me.

Car was running like a top though. first engine I ever rebuilt punched 30 over, new cam and lifters, hyper cast pistons. all the wiring I just left it and plugged it all back like it was and it drove like I said fine until I got it outta impound

The cop and tow guy said "that bitch is sound" when they drove it on the flat bed and now it won't even run I'm pretty upset I feel like some major hatin just happened

Title says injectors not firing. Your post said you get gas.

Did you try to go through the "Cranks but does not start" diagnostic tree in the sticky?

I mean I got high fuel pressure and spark but it's not going into the motor for some reason cause it will start on starting fluid

Ok, did you run through the diagnostic tree?

Check your fuses first.

Fuel pump isn't turning on either I thought I was getting fuel

Guy I bought car from said he hot wired the pump or something like that

I ran a wire straight to the pump and it turned on but still won't start

Sounds like the fp/inj fuse is bad. That runs power to both the fuel pump and injectors. With key on check for power at the injector harness pink and black wire. If no power replace the fp/inj fuse regardless if it looks good..

Does the Check engine light come on with the key?

With key on check power at the module plug pin "p" and "m"

the check engine light comes on since i put a water temp gauge in it... it used to not come on but now i wouldnt be able to tell if it just happend.

i will check in the morning for the SES light, but i want to change my ecm to 86-87 style anyways so im gonna do that, to my understanding all i need is a 86 ecm with a small chip from mine (cause there the same) and the big chip from a 86-87 turbo regal, a maf sensor from a 86-87, and an air temp sensor.

if i just buy a reman ecm for a 86-87 will it come with the big and small chip already? i know i can get a custom chip but i want to avoid that right now

Dude, hold out on the upgrade, figure out whats going on and why it won't start before you start throwing new parts in, I'll be the first to tell ya the computer upgrade is worth it, but wait till ya figure out why it won't start before doing it.
it could be the computer, it could be the wiring harness for the injectors, it could be the esc unit, could be a lot of things, go thru that cranks but don't start list that is sticky'd and check each thing, it sucks but do it and you'll be glad ya did....

it basically says check the crank sensor and cam sensor but im getting spark,,,,,,,,, i dont see anything else that sticky tells me to check

all the injectors have power but the ecm controls them with the ground right? so it kinda makes sense that its the ecm. it cost pretty much the same to just upgrade it than to buy a new 84-85 one so why waste the money

When you turn the key to on, but don't start it, does the fuel pump run to prime the fuel rail? it should run or 2 to 4 seconds to build pressure to start the car. if it doesn't do that then check the fuel pump relay and the fuse for the pump/injectors.

that chip will work and run the car if you buy an 87 or 86 ecm, I do prefer the chips by eric at turbo tweek as they are adjustable from the cockpit of the car and you can adjust your fuel and spark, a scan master would be a great investment too.
