I've got them on my 86. I'm getting a little detonation even w/ low boost~12-13. i'll check the plugs this weekend. I have the fp set @ 42 lbs w/ vac off. Also running 42.5 lb inj, EP front mount and a TA-49. The car doesn't seem as strong as it should. I'm ordering the scanmaster tomorrow. Btw don't worry, I have not been "beating" on the car, it's perfectly drivable, idles great. Just a very, very slight "ping" at anything over half throttle. Thanks,,, Ross L

IMHO the Jacob wire are a good brand. Weather your are good or not is another question. You will need to check the resistance of each wire. You should have less than 200 ohm per foot on each one.
When I make mine up the longest wire has around 330-350 ohm total for the wire. The shortest around 180 or so.
The ping doesn't sound like the wires are the problem.

What chip & what kind of fuel are you running?
Add some xylene or toulene to your fuel and see what happens.

One of the best things about Jacobs wires is their customer service.
If you find a bad wire, give Jacobs a call & you'll havea a complete new set arrive in the mail.
