Took me about 3 hours, pretty straight forward. I need to figure out exactly where I want the 3 little lights. Kit is well thought out and works great. Now time to read up on tuning. Put the chip back to default settings and started over today. The MV's are over 800 at WOT, it had a little knock so I backed off the timing and it went away. I'm at 18lbs of boost right now. Had to buy boost juice, still waiting on a call back from the local fuel place for purchasing methanol. The injection system really enriched the AFR.

I see a puff of something from my exhaust as soon as I nail it, but it goes away almost immediately.

So, do I turn down the knob until I get knock and then bump it up a little or add the timing back until I start to see knock? Yes, I'm going back to read the tuning section again. Just looking for thoughts.

The knob is set on 5 and see pic please, is this the factory default? Its hard to tell but turn on is horizontal.

Look at the instructions that should have come with the system to understand what the components do and then look at the sticky above to see how to tune the system.

I went back and read the sticky, it looks like I need to turn up the boost. I guess my main question was the position of turnon and initial. The kit is used and I don't know it the settings were changed. Thanks

Zip tie the vacuum lines and tighten up the cooler clamps! Set alky knob on 6 and start working the boost up. You will surprised how good it works.

I leave the turn on and initial set the way it comes.

I can't believe how easy the install was too. I think my comfort zone will be 20 lbs, we'll see, of course that's all the higher it reads. I bought the wrong gauge though. Don't feel like changing head gaskets this winter. Where did you end up on timing if I may ask.

I worked my up to around 25*

Razor, I will, was just trying to confirm those were default setting. Great kit, so far the boost juice is working. I'm trying to reach the local fuel guy, he doesnt seem too interested in speaking to me.

Turborick, 25* geez I'm at 17/15, have lots to do before the snow flys

That boost juice is 50% water. You need to watch what your doing when doing the water.. your chip is intended for 100% methanol. Not 50/50. If you want to run 50/50 you can get it reburned with more fuel.

HTH

Go to Home depot or Lowes and pick up a gallon of denatured alcohol and enjoy it until you can find a source of cheaper methanol.

Yup, more expensive than methanol, but is you have to drive 30 miles each way to save $7-8, you spend more than your savings in time and fuel.

When funds are available, spluge on a TT alky chip !!!

It's up to 20lbs, added some timing back in 1-2 gears, still no knock.
