I have a whole new set of upholstery I want to install, buy unfortunately, the hog rings I have can not and do not puncture the material to tie the covers securely to the frames. I don't want to have to sharpen each hog ring. Seems like it would be a pain in the ass.
Anyone know where to get hog rings that are sharp on both ends so they puncture the material? I have tried everywhere local (Autozone, Ace, Sears, etc etc) and can't find anything. Searched online to no avail.

Anyone know or have a link where I can order 100 or so?? or if you have some you'd like to sell?

TIA

I haven't tried them, but I will!! Thanks for the info!

Unfortunately I can't make it to the CT gathering. Wish I could though

hello Boston Bill; I just read your car discription and I would like to see it. I recently had a new exhaust and always wondered how ATR's single shot sounded like. I do remember when they sold them but I guess I was cheep and did'nt spring for it. It is that single shot exiting out the passenger side in front of the rear wheel?
maybe in the near future we could get togeather.

Mine exits out behind the rear wheel passenger side. I'm actually working on that right now as I need to replace a couple old hangers on it. When I get them welded up I'll let you know. Shouldn't be long. I've just been lazy

I bought a bag of hog nose rings and a tool from JC whitney. The tool is worthless - easier with some needle nose pliers. Very cheap- a few bucks at most...

Good Luck

Thanks dude. I was able to find the correct hog rings.
I have hog ring pliers that were useless except for a couple instances where they came in handy. For 99% of them I used regular pliers.

Hello! I am Plymouth GN (well Plympton), but no one knows about my little town. Sounds like a nice ride! Do you have pics somewhere in the site?

Who did you use for upholstery

Boston GN, I live in Middleboro I am in the process of restoring my GN as well. I have been posting questions on the general tech for about two weeks trying to find answers and just realized there was a section for restoration DOH:eek: Who did you use for Upholstrey? What car shows do you guys from Newton, Plympton, Boston go to? Plymopton do you go to the Carver show ever? Newton do you konw a guy named George Lazarakis around 32? He was telling me one of his frineds from home has a GN, would be wierd if it was you.

Never heard of the carver show? But I have been to the Walmart show in Halifax during the summers. Last time I was there I saw, 3 GN's, and a real GNX. I was amazed! Those are the only other GNs besides mine that I've seen. Maybe we should all meet.. Would be great to get a Southern MA crew together haha.. I won't even get my driving permit till September, so currently mine is off the road! But mine also needs work before then..

On the note of upoholstery, does anyone know where I can get the cloth for the 84 GN Seats and Door Panels?

I actually did the upholstery myself. Wasn't too bad, but it's something I don't want to do again, lol. I haven't been to any local shows in years and I do not know George
