I was about to install the RJC power plate. I live in California so I need the egr to work. It says on the instruction sheet to drill a 3/4 inch hole in the square of the front of the plate. well the opening is not 3/4 of an inch. Should I just mark inside the gasket area with a marker and dremel it out?

Gnx6 the instructions talk about the 3/4 square but say to drill a 3/8 hole in the plate, atleast mine do.

I bought mine from Kirban, it looks like photocopies and a copy of the plate. Hmm, it did say 3/4 inch hole. Maybe when I get the upper off I'll decide if I'm gonna dremel it or not. I'm leaning towards a dremel because if I hinder the EGR the car will fail smog.

Drill the hole 3/8" or 5/16" if you prefer.

Kirban get's his plates from us at RJC Racing and then repackages them with his own instructions. Just look for the "RJC Racing" stamp to ensure you are getting a genuine RJC Racing plate. A 3/8 hole is all that is needed to ensure proper EGR function. Kirbans instructions have a misprint of 3/4" this is not correct.

It will not hurt anything if you would like spend the extra time to dremel out the EGR hole.

hope this helps.
