So I had to leave the pizza party early (at 1:30pm) to go and see my mother who is in long term care. Well I got stuck on the 5 with a new Walbro fuel pump failure. A nice cop pushed me off the freeway and I called AAA. About 40 min. later Mission Viejo Towing showed up and Carlos, the driver, determined that the inter-cooler would hit the flat bed, so he recommended to put the car on pulling from the rear. Then another Mission Viejo driver comes and he is going to take over because Carlos was taking to long to load up. The second driver comes over to me with an attitude and asks what was the problem; I explained about the inter-cooler and he then told me that was the way it was going on the flat bed and if it gets damaged it would be my problem. Well one word led to another and he called me out to take the first punch. He said "I will give you the first shot MF'er and I will own your car". I walk over to him nose to nose and asked WTF was his problem. He again repeated himself about owning my car (a lot of yelling, finger pointing and cursing was going on in the Target center parking lot ). At this point Carlos jumped in and separated us and the second driver took off. His supervisor was called and came over and he also had an attitude and basically told me to call another towing company. He said the second driver was fired (yea right). Well a compliant was filed with AAA and around 6:00pm All American towing came; I explained the problem with the inter-cooler and he said anyway I wanted the car on the trailer would work for him. We loaded the car in about 5 minutes and were on our way. I arrived home at 7:30pm. A second complaint was also filed with AAA. DO NOT USE MISSION VIEGO TOWING!

Follow up your complaints to AAA. They don't like towing companies with a attitude.

Jeff, be sure to send a link to this forum to Mission Towing, let them know it will be on other forums too. We only have 27,000 members on here with SW section being the most visited geographical forum.
I'm really getting sick of people's attitudes in California. Did we import all the idiots or what ?

Complain to the Better Business Bureau as well. Not really sure how to exactly do it, but have heard of it wreaking havoc for business owners. Sorry for the bad luck, glad you maintained your composure. ;)

Other then not hitting him, I really did not contain my composure. I was in his face as much as he was in mine. (I was close enough to get in a good groin shot if needed).
I know most of the guys did not know my Sicilian father, but he was a street fighter in Brooklyn and a middle weight boxer at one point in his life. He would take great pleasure in stalking a person like this and then at the appropriate time all hell would break loose. It might take a year or more (he was very patient) but eventually the hammer would come down when the person was least expecting it.
The only link I could find was this address:
Mission Viejo Towing in Lake Forest, CA 92630 - (949) 581-3700

Of about 5 or 6 dealings with tow truck drivers only one was pleasant, all the rest were bad news including added charges just before drop off.

I got the company that added the charges. This was before cell phones. About once or twice a month I would call them requesting a tow, of course I was not where I sent them. After a year of this I called and asked the ditzo that answered the phone if they had been getting lots of phony calls. She said yes, and I said thats what you get for adding BS charges and the calls will continue.

idiots. I had an issue with my intercooler pipes when I broke my car down (wow, I've said that a few times:rolleyes:)
The guy grabbed some wood blocks, and up she went. Simple as that. I would write some good review on that link you left,

dam mission viejo tow guys always taking advantage of the white man!!!!

White men of So. Ca. lets unite and picket MV towing. I suggest our next Buick event at their doorstep with protest signs! Ralph, maybe you can get some free advertising by offering pizza and we could draw others into our group with the pizza. Pizza for protesters!

That sucks Jeff! :( Always buy the Red Armstrong XP Pump. ;)
Jeff sorry about your experience that could of landed you in jail had you not kept your wits. I have used XP pumps for years with zero problems. Thats what was in Brents car when he went so quick. There was never any need for more than that. I hope Gary now understands why I refused to install that walbro pump that he won at some raffle & insisted on an XP. Blairs towing locally who I have used forever also is a well run company that doesn't hire bums. Towing cars is a thankless stressful job at times & not just anyone can handle it.

Well the company left and I got motivated, so I pulled out the gas tank and the problem turned out to be a connector that connected the pump with the wires coming through the top sealing plate. That explains why it was at first an intermittent problem. I believe Reds XP pumps are a modified Walbro pump. The one in my car had some sort of recall so I replaced it with another pump that did not have the same number.
