Is the D5 convertor from an 88 Monte SS the same as the 86-87 turbo Buick D5?

I am preparing to swap the Buick engine into my father's Monte within the next few weeks and I want to make sure that I have everything I need. Will his original D5 be the same as the Buick D5?

The turbo motor D5 most likely has a higher stall rating than the Monte SS D5...

The turbo motor D5 is about a 2300 stall, if my memory is correct...I have no idea what the Monte SS D5 stalls at...
