Hi folks,

Just wanted to report some great news about our very own J Banning-- he hit the Trifecta today at Cecil:

1. 6-second 1/8th mile pass

2. Cut a pefect light in eliminations

3. As to the 1/4 mile ET, I'll let Banning share the details, but let's just say there's one more 10-second street GN prowling around.

And this was all in one day!

Congrats to Banning!!

-Scott

Thanks guys. I've been trying to hit the 10's for quite a while now. I *thought* it might have been possible towards the end of last year with the PT51, but it turned to be too far out of my reach. 11.30's at 119 is all she had.

It wasn't to be till I got the new turbo on the car last week (PT67). Since Wednesday night, I've run 10.97 at 120, and three 11.0's (11.09, 11.06, 11.06) at 119/120mph (all with the N/A crank & rods :) ).

I had a great time on Saturday.

when did you run 10.97 and how did i miss it? oh, i'll send you the picture of your launch later on also.

J Banning's 1st 10 sec. run

Congrats to Banning on his 1st 10 sec. pass --- and he was able to back it up!! Nobody has worked any harder this year trying to reach their goal. It looks like the new 67 turbo from Precision was the answer along with some good tuning and driving. His car has mid 10 potential from a relatively mild combination.

Thanks guys.

I stuck around after the event and was able to pay an additional $20 to run again with the Jasper Engines guys who had the track rental.

It was then that I ran the 10.97 @ 120mph. The car DEFINATELY has more in it. I just need to play with the fueling.

-Banning.

Oh yeah, that was REALLY cool. In the bracket even I cut two of the best lights I've ever had...

.000 (.500)
.002 (.502)

I was pumped!!! :)

I lost to the guy with the rosewood T (anyone on this board??). I don't have the timeslip on me, but I think my light was still something like a .020 (.520)... his was somewhere near a .013 (.513). My car was dead on with a 11.18 and 11.19 on the two prior runs. I dialed a 11.14, but when I hit second it felt like the convertor locked up and the car laid down. My ET droped to something near a 11.23. His was spot on. That, and his awesome RT is what netted him the run. Plus, he did it all on STREET RADIALS! Not drag radials... street radials! That's awesome!
