The car shifts ok but if I am going down the highway and let off the gas it will start jerking. If I push on the brakes it goes away until I let off the brakes. It nearly dies when I stop sometimes. I have put it in neutral and coasted and it doesn't jerk. I did that just to make sure it wasn't the brakes or rearend. I am not a transmission guy and I don't know much about them.

I have owned the car a year and a half and it seems to be getting worse. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the TCC/TorqueConverterClutch Solenoid is going out. Applying the brakes disengages it.
Good Info here >> TH200-4R TCC Solenoid Transmission Problem
The GM Solenoids with the internal Harness are discontinued so you'll probably have to get a Universal solenoid & cut & splice the wires. About $15-$20.
