i picked it up today, nice car, plenty of low end power, and quite. but i have a few questions, i'm completely new to these.

1. how do you change the blower oil? and can it somehow be connected to the normal engine oil pump so it doesnt' have to be changed or is that asking for more problems? also what kind of oil should i use?

2. are there any quick easy and cheap performance things to do to them? it does run good off the line, but then its rather lacking in the power department. i'm not looking to make it run 13's or do anything like that i'm just looking for a big more power on the high way. and i don't want to loose any mpg either.

thats about it for now, i'm sure i'll have more to ask later.

you can get the supercharger oil from your GM dealer...its not standard motor oil

you really don't have to change the oil, just make sure its topped off...when you take the screw out the oil should be up to the threads
some people like to change it often...its up to you

Congrats on the new purchase!

While it's not the fastest car out there, the luxury and ride will spoil you.

S/C oil is two small bottles from you local GM dealer. The stuff is stinky!!!! By removing the allen screw near the snout, you can use a shampoo bottle pump to siphon out the old fluid.

I just recently did mine at the 40k mark (1st time) and it was a piece of cake.

There is an excellent source of info for these cars at RegalGS.org.

Good luck!

the T is getting up there in miles and age. its starting to give me some problems, smoking quite a bit, doesn't run very good, just needs a rebuild. its actually a good excuse to build up the motor the way i want. i'm looking at a roller cam and rockers, and ported heads. i'll probably do steel mains while i'm at it and if i get really carried away i'll o-ring the heads :D it also needs some rear suspension work so what better time to do it?

anything else i need to know?

Check out http://www.regalgs.org/forum/index.php classifieds section. Look for a 3.4 " pulley and puller. Stock pulley is a 3.8 ", you will need a smaller supercharger belt as well.
Should give you about 2- 3 lbs of boost increase. Figure around 20 hp increase.

denn454 thats a very nice car, i love the way the regal ride. the looks is a total sleeper. you can go to anyone of the w-body forum and find alot of info on your car. you should try some of the s-way forum. member`s who have the L67 motor in different body car are very knowageable about the powertrain/driveline of the L67 (supercharger motor)

K&N filter

I would add a drop in K&N filter or if you can swing it and somebody makes it, a cold air kit. Then maybe a new muffler? The stock exhaust on most new cars are very restrictive. This should help open it up a bit. I would check with some of the other sites to see what others have done. Sounds like the 3.4L pully would be an easy swap too.

stock mufflers flow fine....there are some restrivtive sections on the way to the mufflers

the exhaust system should be the first thing to up-grade. Dyno-MAx sells a cat back system with they glass pack muffler stright throuht shot.i Bought two of them from jack cotton with his cat back exhaust system for the turbo regal.

the w-body regal makes power by porting the stock exhaust manifold install a 3 inch downpipe. you don`t need a high flow cat you can just use a 3 inch cat. if you plan on moding this car heavy in the future. do your self a favor and do the full 3" system. once you complete the exhaust system you will have to install a set of poly bog-bone mount. also remove your stock regal trans mount and install the beefier GTP trans mount. get in-touch with charles or kevin from DHP and have them do you a PCM. once you install the pcm you can sway the stock s/c pulley to a 3.4 inch.

if you ever planning on swaying cam. you should get a dual roller timing set (chain) from ROLLMATER. take it from me i know. every car i have seen with a cam and stock timing had problem with KR (DETENATION). what cause this? (to be discuss another time)

do you self a favor and stay away from all these tunning devices. Get the PCM reprogram, it`s the best way and the professional way. you can also modified the stock regal air box to increase flow and reduce turbulance. do a search on spark plug heat range on clubgp or regalgs.org. you going to need cold spark plug with you start modding you ride. away i can go on for pages, if you like you can e-mail me with any technical question you may have. Oh by the way this is the cheap way to mod....LOL

Hi,
The 3.5 inch blower pulley makes a big difference, a couple of pounds of boost is worth a bunch on these motors. Thrasher has been doing this longer than anyone else. Check them out, at thrasher-ep. com, I think. Good website.
Don't drain the blower, just top it off. Buick service manuals call for synthetic, could check viscosity for you but think it's light stuff. Buy the gm oil if you want to be sure.
Good luck with your refined new street cruiser!

Use the GM S/C oil. You might as well change it. It is simple to do.
The oil is like seven bucks a bottle and you need two.

Fun Cars. There are L67 cars in the 10's I think, but definitly 11's.

I suggest an auto tap scanner, 3.4 pulley, Gator backl belt, Autolite 104 plugs, 180 drilled Tstat, gut out the air box. That combo with a good 2.0 launch will get you in the 13's.

Exhaust mods are a very good idea (i still need to do them).

I just started running alky and have zero KR.
