Hey guys i know it's not turbo regal related but i wanted to ask a q's about a kill switch. My brother has a 65 Mustang and he parks it out side and his worried that they might steal it since it really isnt that hard, my question is were can i splice in too to install say 2 or 3 kill switche's in the old stang??? thanx guys your help will be greatly appriciated.:)

I know way back on my 80 chevy truck I got a locking gas valve and installed it in the floor under the floor mat. Every time I got out I locked the valve and truck would only run for about 20 sec. I think I got it at JC Whitney? All I did was cut into the gas line and ran 2 rubber hoses to the valve. Don't have to mess with electrical stuff then.

This would be a great question at www.vintage-mustang.com

I think the best thing to do is just remove the rotor inside the distributer when you park the car. Personally, I have MSD ignition and it has a kill switch you can hide, or I remove the coil wire. Still, there is no protection against a flatbed hauling the car away. :(

Kinda a pain to do all the time, but making up a coil wire out of vacuum line will do the trick and will fool even the best mechanic for quite a while (if it looks good). as far as a regular kill switch, I would say splice the + wire on the coil and ground the coil (not the feed) when the switch is activated, that prevents someone from running a wire from the battery to the coil and jumping the starter with 2 screwdrivers to get it running. If you want to get fancy you can set up a self energizing relay instead of a switch, just give it juice before starting and it stays on, turn off the ignition and you have to energize it again before starting.
