I just installed a caspers knock gauge. I took it for a ride and couldn't get anything to read. I opened the car up maybe 10-15 times and hit the second green led once and the first green led twice. Now I know no knock is a good thing, but is this kind of telling me I have some more room to play. I have a ta49 turbo, 42 lb injectors, TT chip, no alky. And running 15 lbs of boost.

If your really concerned about knock then you need a scantool that reads degree's.

Anything else is guessing. The scanmasterII is what most of us use. You get what you pay for, as always cheaper isnt better.

If you like the Casper's piece, that is fine. At 15 PSI it shouldnt light up at all.. assumming a lot of things.

I like using the Caspers and the PowerLogger when I race to read degrees. For the most part it almost seems like 1 degree of knock is one light from some of the knock readings I noticed. I know if I have 1 or 2 lights on for a small period of time it was transitional knock and I stay in the gas. But I am sure every car is different and you need to figure out what is best for you.

Also I have also seen where the caspers has shown a light or two and the Power Logger did not see any knock either.
