Lack of Power?!?!

I am having a problem with my car from a dead stop. When I mash it from a stop I get no tire spin whatsoever and then when the turbo spools some I get about 10-15 feet of screeching tires. From what I hve read on this site is that it is pretty normal for a TR not to spin instantly off the line but once it gets into the power band and the turbo spools up, you better be holding on. For the mods my car has it seems that something is just not right? I have 235/60/15 BFGoodrich tires on the back and I would think I should be able to spin them like I was driving on a teflon pan coated with WD-40. But for some reason I cant. My car runs and drives fine. Idles fine and starts and cruises fine. I was just wondering if anyone could give me a suggesation of what to check out to see if I am tapping into the potential of my car. It does pull real well at speed and will set u back in the seat but I just feel there is something wrong. Thanks guys(and gals)

PS I do not have an aftermarket boost gauge or scan master. Any suggestions would help. Thanks!

I think that's pretty normal. Mine did the same. Try launching with a few RPM's and you'll have your burnout, but first buy a scantool or at the least a knock detector. You wanna spend your$$ on mods, not head gaskets.
