Trying to figure out what the largest tires I can fit on my 87 GN are. Front and rear. I dont want any rubbong or have to roll any lips. Thanks

I ran 265/50-15 on all 4 corners without any issues with rubbing. I don't belive you will get anything bigger on with out issues. You might have some rubbing in the front with some cars.

they will fit but they rub on some cars so you may need a 1/4 spacer. Alot of guys on here run 255/60s and are happy with them and they dont rub.

I've run MT 275/50/15 and 275/60/15 drag radials with no issues.

Good infor here guys. Appreciate it. I do have lowering springs on the car so the tires tuck a little. Any issues with this? Or do you guys recommend sticking with 255/60/15's in the rear.

Personally I think the 255s look better are you wanting a drag tire or more of a street tire for drag the 275 will give you more tire choices. If I keep the stock GN rims on my car it will have 255 in the back and 245 in the front. I just think that it the best looking and fitting tire combo for stock wheels.

Here's a couple of pics with the MT 275/50/15 and the MT 275/60/15 drag radial mounted on the stock 7" GN rim. Both tires clear the frame rail and wheel lip on my car...with no spacer.

Here's a launch pic with the MT 28X9 slick mounted on the stock 7" GN rim...and it shares the same sidewall width as the the MT 275/60/15 drag radial. You'll notice the rear suspension is pretty much compressed...and it clears the fender lip with ease...and they aren't rolled.

I have run nitto drag radials 275 50 15, and currently run bfg drag radials 275 50 15 in the rear. No issue.
