LC-1 programming..

Very stupid question.. but I tried hooking the Lc-1 up to my computer, and programming it, but it wouldn't read the serial port in the LM programmer.

Does the Lc-1 need to be hooked up, and all wired in the car before you can program it?


And yes, I do realize how stupid this question is. but damnit I don't care.

Any way TurboBurick is the one you need to talk to on this board about that, he is great!!

then what did you do for the outputs?

Did you not use the gauge at all?

Yes it needs to be in the car and powered up.

crap. the computer with the only outputs that fit the lc-1 are my brothers desktop.

If you buy a "USB to Serial Cable" you will be able to us your lap top. I bought one at RadioShack......Gigaware part #26-949. They are available at other stores also. If you are not in a hurry you can buy one cheaper online, I paid around $35.00. Good luck
