lean condition

car has 50lb injectors /218cam/ported heads/smc kit/lubrent alky chip. runs lean on idle and stalls out in gear. I have to turn up idle screw to keep from stalling while in gear with foot on break.It will set a lean code if i leave in gear with foot on brake. If i put in park, there is no load on engine and no code will occur. I do not recall having this problem when i ran the 210/205 cam. I'm thinking it's the chip or cam,or do I need bigger injectors?

Fuel Pressure?

fuel pressure is fine 45psi line off. rich @ w.o.t and air/fuel fine when driving, intergrater @128 and goes up to 140 only when i stop or come to red lite with foot on brake.what do you think(razor)? possibly losing too much vacuum from big cam.

I would call Joe & have him do some adjustments to the chip. But first make sure all the basics are covered.Air leaks,Bad 02 sensor, Bad coil pack, wires ,plugs, etc.

Like Lou said, check all of the basics but don't rule out some of the unusual stuff. I had a problem that would set a lean fuel code and stall the car out at stop signs. I found I had a stuck egr valve. Cleaned it up and put it back in and the problem went away. Also, does it pull hard against the brakes at idle? If it does it could be a converter or TCC lock-up issue with the stalling in gear but not in park. Just something to consider. Good luck.

Some good advice. I have run that duration & had to program the idle speed to be 800 rpm in gear also run in open loop at idle & set the target A/F a little richer.
