Limits of stock cat back???

The car now has poston headers, TH down pipe, and a flowmaster muffler in the stock pipes. It seems to be chocking the car a little bit. Besides the fact that I don't like how it sounds at all. I was thinking about getting the 2- 3/4 dual exhaust system with magnaflow mufflers. Anyone run this set up? Do you think that it would be worth it to spend money on a new cat back?

Definitely worth it. Flowmasters restrict these cars anyway. Get rid of it ASAP. Go with either the hooker cat back with is aluminum or the 2.5 ATR cat back stainless steel or aluminum. Hooker costs less and is the best for your money and I have heard nothing but good things about it. I have the ATR 2.5 SS cat back. Sounds good, not too loud. Either of these systems will give you 3-4# more boost than the flowmaster. You are choking the engine like you said. Headers and THDP, now all you need is the cat back. and your good.

If you still have an active cat. in the car make sure you can see through it real real good.

It should look like viewing a nice old 50's TV set.

I don't think an aluminum exhaust will last long in Chicago. I'm in CA and still would like to have the ATR SS.
