Lockup

Is there any need or benefit to installing a switch to lockup the converter if you have a lockup converter?

Most people who have tried both ways..... will say .2 sec and 2mph is sorta average for the pickup you would get by locking the converter..... with the switch flipped.... it will go locked... when it goes into second..........unless of course the brake pedal is pushed......
