and the turbo oil return line leaks...

the guy has a spare one but was wondering what it takes to change out the line because we would have to drive it home

thanks,
chris

disconnect downpipe, uppipe, 2 nuts holding turbo to big bracket on intake, 1 nut on bakc of intake, oil feed line, vac lines, roll the turbo foward and get some room.

how is it leaky? its metal......... the grommet leaks? the mating surface on the turbo?

lol no clue..alls i know is that it leaks..

he said it could be that or the rear main seal..wasnt sure at first but then told me it was the line

rear main is harder than other..

drain oil
pull xover
pull pan
pull off rear main cap (CAREFUL)
pull out old seal
put in new seal using anerbobic sealant
torque main bolts to 100ft-lbs
reassemble

The oil drain-back pipe can leak also. I have seen at least two that have cracked in the flex joints, causing oil to litterally run out, down the back of the motor. The only way to be positive that it is the drain-back line is to pull off the pipe, and plug one end, then shoot air into it with a compressor to check for leaks (aside from the usual visual inspection). If that pipe is fine, then you are looking at a neat little job for the rear main. (just did my friends N/A regal 6 cyl.) They suck, but do it right, and you may never have to do it again.
