My 2004 Silverado needs front rotors and pads. I don't want junk, but is there an online source for quality parts? How do I know what is quality and what is junk other than original?

Obviously, I am looking to order online to save some cash. Thanks :)

I would throw a set of Preformance Friction pads. You can buy them from Auto Zone. For the rotors, go with AC Delco, Bendix

Auto Parts Fast at RockAuto Stick with the name brands unless you want to upgrade. Used them plenty of times, no problems with parts.

I got a set of 4 drilled and slotted rotors and Hawk pads for my '05 sub (same as 1500 silverado) and am quite happy with them - think they came from autoanything.com

Call Southern Distributors out of Birmingham, Al.

They are a GM wholesale outfit.

But seriously, if you want factory (which in my opinion is best) just go to the dealer. You may pay a little more but will avoid shipping costs.

I just changed the factory pads on my 2000 GMC Sierra 1500. They had 155k on them and still had a good bit left, but were getting a little spongy.
