Here's the thing I'm telling myself..... This was the first attempt using this block. Remember the power levels that gns made way back when modding them was in the infancy? Way under what you can do today. I'm thinking forward, looking at what power levels they might be pulling out of these things in a year or so from now.

On a side note, reguarding the T/A block, I dont think the global v6 is a direct threat either. The biggest problem facing that particular engine is that there is still no real world test data to be looking at, no cars you hear of running them at the strip, no reliability information out there. Lots of publicity and a great concept, but wheres the facts? I still havent heard of one being used let alone in a driver. Anyone got info on these yet? Only thing I heard of is a couple that people bought, started assembling, then sold, never really running them. I heard they have some kinks in the cooling system (prone to overheating) and that oiling passages in some had sand from casting in them. Nobody was running one. Anyone have any updates?

Duttweiler built a TA block motor with twin turbos and dynoed it at 1180hp for a customer out in Cali.... I then heard the customer took it to the track and ran 9's running it very conservatively...

Nick Micale has his TA block motor in his car and running.... There's a video of it on his website www.arizonagn.com

He took it to the track and broke the TH-350 tranny so he's waiting to get the tranny back together last I heard and then he will take it back to the track.... There are several other TA motors out there that are built and should be running soon from what I've been told so I'm sure we'll hear more about them in the near future....

Changing things around in our car is an everyday thing,so what if I have to buy a bunch of cavilier parts for my engine bay,;) ;) ,in the long run it will be cheaper than selling my left Kidney for a TA block and then having to find some trailer park girls to pimp out for having it machined and assembled for an extral $10,000:eek:
