My stock MAF is going out, everyone ive talked to recommends going straight to the LS1 MAF setup with translator, done. I notice the maf is a 3.5" in/out. The stock TR is a 3", plus I have a ta-49 turbo. Should I just buy a couple of reducers for the filter and intake pipe. It seems like a logical choice. Any recommendations? Thanks!
 
Yeah Ive already gotten an LS1 MAF and Translator on its way, but my question is: how should I fit the setup to my TA-49 with a 3" opening? Should I just go with some reducers or is there an intake setup thats made for this swap? Affordable?
 
I just did the mod on mine.I got a 3x3 1/2 reducer and 3 1/2 in k&ncone filter from summit racing.2 parts cost like 65 bucks and bolted up real nice.Not the cheapest but the filter costs about as much as a reducers and then its not choked down on the inlet side
