have 86 gn maf sensor looks stock with crack glued,my question is I have a stall when give it gas and when I let off gas no codes could maf be bad???

A lot of the stock maf units won't set off the ses light. Unplug it while it's running and see if anything changes or the light comes on.

Give it a small tap on it and see if the engine changes tunes in running while idling .

I unplug maf sensor while running alittle change and look ser light on.It seemed to have better fuel response though just given gas and backed up and went forward does that mean bad maf????

Its likely good if it acts different when unplugged. Check the fuel pressure out first. Should be around 38 to 42 psi. If that checks out spark is next. Coil packs, ign module, plug wires and plugs. Try to find a local TR buddy to swap parts out with or at least keep a spare set of coil packs/module. The Caspers ccci simulator is also a good investment for these cars and cheaper than buying a spare set. O'Reily's BWD coils/module are fairly cheap and have a lifetime warranty.

I have problem with shifting .when car get hot sometime I have to get high rpms before it will change into higher gear. would that be caused by maf senor??

No nothing to do with it. That's slippage of the clutches due to the heat of the fluid most likely.

It has new fluid and filter 500 miles or less do I need trans cooler ? could rad cooler be bad??

The radiator have a lot of lime/corrosion in it or is it nice n clean inside? What temps are you getting driving it around town?

I bought rad used don't know if clean and car has no temp gauge just bought car. Engine was blown I put rem engine in 500 miles ago.

I will give you some good advice to get started with these cars. Buy a scanmaster from Turbo Tweak asap. Neat little scan tool for $225. It will display most of what ecm sees like o2 millivolts, knock retard, coolant temp, blm's, rpm, speed, tps volts, iac counts, maf counts, present engine codes, and so on. It installs in about 5 minutes with 3 wires to connect. Stock 3 core radiators for these cars are expensive ($500 up).

Im going to bg buick turbo track meet in bowling green ky was hoping to find scan master there. do you think I should put trans cooler on car or wait I drive car daily ?? or should I buy scan tool now ??

A good trans cooler wont hurt anything boss. I would get the sm now so you know whats going on with the car when your driving.

Your head is going to be swimming there. You've got a lot to learn. Start with the scanmaster and learn as much as you can there. Bring a notebook and write down info, you'll never remember everything. Read here b/f you go. http://www.vortexbuicks-etc.com/
