MAF failed, and I'm considering switching over to a Chevy MAF.
Specifically, which Chevy MAF should a use?
What are advantages/disadvantages?
In addition to the MAF what other changes and modifications will be required?

Thanks for all your help

Ls1 or Lt1 MAFs are what you are looking for.
You must have a translator to run.
You may have to get a larger hose to run the 3.5 sensor (not sure on this)
No downsides.

Yeah, get a Translator and either the 3" LT1 or 3.5" LS1 sensor. It's just too darn hard to find a good working remanufactured MAF for these cars. With the translator setup you'll have a silky smooth idle/driveability and more tuning options.
