On a programmable 4L60E tranny, what is the Main Line pressure and what does increasing it in the eprom do, and is it a good or bad idea to slightly increase it over factory settings?
Thanks

Increase it at the force motor. DO NOT touch the chip.

Thanks Bruce, what exactly does this do, does it only control the main line fluid pressure entering the clutchs in the TC, so changing the values would effect how the TC feels and affect how quickly the TC would fill with fluid under certain situations?
Least thats my understanding of it so far.
All I have done to the chip is adjust when the TC locks, making it a higher speed in 4th gear and releasing it quicker when it falls below the lockup speed, also change the mph it shifts to OD making it a little higher at low throttle. This is all in my '94 TPI powered truck.

Well I have had great luck with a Vac mod kit. It takes the force motor out and runs a vac line to intake. without that you can crank up the pressure on the force motor with a torx bit. clockwise only 1/8th to 1/4 turn tho.

"DO NOT touch the chip."

What would be wrong with making adjustments to the chip?

John
