I had my 86 GN down at my buddies shop. We were installing some upper/lower control arms. A guy pulled into the p/l in a little pickup and said he saw the GN, and wanted to stop by. He said his name is 'Dan' and he and I got to talking together. Dan is a friend of my friend, the shop owner. He said he used to be a third owner in ATR in the 80's with Mike Connolly, and Phil something-or-other. He said he sold his share and moved up to my town when ATR xfered out to the east coast. Seemed to be a VERY knowledgable guy as far as GN's are concerned. Can anyone verify this info? I know ATR is still a very active company in the community. He may be a source for info and suggestions, but I just don't have time for bullzhiters, if you know what I mean.

That's sounds right to me.

Phil moved the business to the upstate of South Carolina from Roseville, CA in '95, I think.

Yeah, Dan said the company started in Sacramento, and Roseville is a suburb as I recall. Anyway, was interesting to talk with someone who was on the forefront of all this GN stuff. He's forgotten more than I will ever know. Was also interesting to hear some of the inner secrets of the trio's business.

ATR had some nice stuff but never really any fast cars. I dont know anyone that ever saw that twin turbo car run with their own two eyes. A lot of their more high tech gadetry was farmed out also.
