Might but 95 Monte Carlo . . . thoughts?

Just as the subject line says. Everything seems to be in very good shape and it runs very smoothly and quietly. It has 72,000 miles on the 3.1L V-6.

Anyone have any experience good or bad with these cars and engines. My parents had a 91 Grand Prix with the 3.1L in it. Is it the same motor?

very good motor just check the lower intake for leaks (coolant very bad about it) look at the LH rear part of the intake and water pump and ask how long ago the alt was replaced also bad about goin out. other than that really good cars. turbotoy

other than the intakes were bad about leaking they are fairly sturdy engines, just make sure the trans fluid gets serviced regularly also.

The trans fluid looks like it might not have been changed since new . . . that makes me nervous.

I'm going back on Tuesday to take another look and see if there are any leaks.

There are a few things wrong with it, so I'm going to shoot him a kinda low offer and if he doesn't take it I'm walking away.
