why not bring up Ole? he always does crazy stuff..

regarding oil: someone on chevelles.com took some initiative and did a lot of research and came to the conclusion that all this fuss over things like zinc and phosphate in oil is all wasted energy and that most of the problems with oils lately have nothing to do with that.. he makes a pretty compelling case, and even used one of the engineers at the company that makes everyone here's favorite ZDDP additive as a source..
also, he came to the blindingly obvious conclusion that 20W50 oil is probably the worst thing you could dump into anything that isn't a full on race engine with tolerances that would have been on the loose side 40 years ago.

hello people; I've never run 20-50w in any car I've owned. I have put STP and other additives that was suppose to help old engines and that must of effected viscosity. I have used that W in motor bikes I've had. In my Shovelhead HD I've run straight 60w and 70w if I could find it. If you have any history with Shovels it's common.
Now if we can get the syn. to a desent price alot would be happy.
Who knows what the future will bring but dino might be gone.

If you need some oil pressure try a quart of this in any TR.

Has zinc and phosphorous for the cam. too.

hello; No Walmart in my area unless I drive a bit. Funny Walmart sells everything from oil to weapons. Maybe I'll ch. one out as I've never been.

people don't like to admit that they shop where "low class" people shop and see it as a badge of honor to pay more for the exact same thing.

I personally like small business in America and will pay a little extra because of it. One day when Wal Mart is one of three stores left people will MAYBE start to get it.

I get Mobil 1 there in the jugs and large bags of m+m peanuts.
That's about it and they make a $9 chocolate cake that's great.
Other than that I don't go there unless forced.
Walmart regular shoppers and I aren't too compatible.

hello; Salvage what is the price of a jug of M1 there? I've been getting mine at Costco (when it's on sale) for close to $30.00 a case.

Its $28 for the jug not on sale.
26 or so the few times its been on sale.
The red label stuff is the good stuff.
Costco should be competitive too.
