I can do body work and paint. (hope that didn't sound too uppity)
I'd like to attack my GN this summer, but don't want to remove doors, glass, etc.
I just want to do the "outside" if you know what I mean.
Any helpful hints regarding what to do with window trim and roof rail removal (or not) would be appreciated.
Example - can you remove the trim on the opera windows without removing the glass?
Thanks

the reveal around the opera windows is part of the glass. I recomend taking the opera windows out on a repaint, Its not that hard.

Thanks JP87GN.
I think I know what you mean, but since the reveals aren't glass how can they be part of the glass?
If they are a one piece kind of thing, is there a sealer of some kind under the reveal?
Thanks again.

Saw the pics of your car.
VERY nice!
I want mine to look like that - but then I'm afraid I'd never drive it.
Lotsa work. Well done.

The rubber part is incapsulated into the glass, but the center trim on the outside is pot metal and has studs w/ spead nut on the backside holding it tight, The seal is made with butle tape and it can be a mess. best way to clean it off is with latex gloves on, just ball it up and keep tearing it off. Your windshield and backglass trims come off easy with a specialty tool that releases the clips and the drip rail trims roll off but you have to be gentle.
