I have a couple of questions. I rebuilt the engine (40 over) heads ported , 3 inch down pipe, 212-121 camshaft, TE-45(a) turbo and power plate. I adjusted the shaft on the waste gauge all the way in and all I can produce is about 21-22 pounds of boost. I know this engine can produce some more boost.

1) What I am doing wrong? How can I build more boost.
2) The fuel pressure is at 40 lbs

Any suggestions?

do you have a stock or HD wastegate actuator? The stocker won't work real well with a TE-45....not enough spring pressure..

loop the compressor and wastegate and see if you get more boost....if so, you prolly have a solenoid/vacuum problem

right now, you have the "y" hose connected to the compressor & wastegate.....pull that off both places.....take a piece of vac hose and connect the compressor fitiing to the wastegate fitting (the same places the "Y" hose was)....that will bypass the solenoid and your boost will be controlled by spring pressure only....be careful if you have the actuator very tight, you may see more boost than you want......if you still can't get boost, the arm may be too long or a bad actuator....most HD actuators will hold a minimum of 18 lbs with very little tension

AZGN....Thanks I will try it tomorrow when I get home...I am at work right now, but first thing in the morning I will be under the hood, (just like I have been for the past month working on that beast)...
