Herb,
If Fed-Ex Ground broke your trans I am not suprised. If you check the tracking # look and see if it was held up in Arizona longer than all other destinations on the way to you. Some a$$hole in AZ is breaking heavy items on purpose there. Neal Steward shipped my Father a virgin Stage2 block on a pallet, it showed up in a torn up & taped cardboard box with the block broken and shards of pallet in the box. Neal shipped it properly with insurance but they refused to pay up! he never got a dime from them. Neal then sent a second Stage2 block to another customer and they broke it too! same spot in AZ! So not only do they break $hit, they dont honor their insurance either. I will never ship ANYTHING valuable thru them ever.
