My GN lays down if I try and give it more than 3/4 throttle

Problem is that if it is over 70 degrees after engine warms up I can't give it more than 3/4 throttle and she "Lays Down" real bad :-(. Actually, I can not give it more than 4/5 throttle ever and she lays down (even one morning when it was 48 degrees!) I have tried 2 different chips, same thing, have a third chip on it's way. Anyone else having this kind of problem? It seems like the chips are too aggressive with their timing. I have asked the programmer for the new chip to take out some of the timing above 3 grand. I'll let you know how it goes, but I'm interested in hearing from anyone else that has similar problems and what rectified the problem. I am running a T63 but I'm also running the
big TE Front Mount.:(
 
Is the "laying down" associated with knock? It could be a lot of things, from too much fuel to not enough fuel, to too much boost to not enough boost. You didn't provide enough information:

Knock, boost, O2 reading, Fuel pressure, Injectors, Mods, etc.

to make a proper diagnosis. As it stands, all that can be done is guess and about 1/2 of the guesses would be wrong.
 
87' GN Laying down

I think everyone is probably right on this "too much knock"
Last night I added 3 gallons of toulene to my 1/3 tank of gas and
"look out" I could get much more throttle, but still not full throttle.
I do not have a "Scan Master" looks like I need to pick one up :o .
Thanks for all of the reply's. This is my second GN. the first had
a 212/212 .460 .460 108 centered cam and a T-49 but only 30 pound injectors, it ran 12.80's with a Pitbull chip and the stock intercooler and stock exhaust and I never had detonation problems. I bought this car already done and I'm trying to sort it out. It has a T63 Turbo, Big PE Front Mount Intercooler, 212/212 .460/.460 111 centered cam, ATR drivers side header, 43# tomco injectors, StreetLethal chip 3.73 rear gears, engine is "Built! with forged everything and steel main caps. 4 inch big aluminum radiator, 3.3 inch custom downpipe, 3" custom mandrel bent dual exhaust, 14 inch K&N with custom inlet pipe, Port and polished intake and heads with big stainless valves with 3 angle cut, etc. etc. I'll take some pictures later. I have a Alcohol kit but I have not installed it yet, will let everyone know how that goes
