Looking to get some feedback on my wife's photography. She has been photographing for the past few years but decided to turn this into a business.

We will be taking photos of the GN and making wallpapers and online graphics within the next couple months.
Let me know if you would like your Turbo Regal photographed. We live in Ft Drum, NY and will be moving to Ft Bragg, NC at the end of February.

Visit her facebook and Like her page.

Climb to Glory! I've been here since September 2011 and can't wait to move to FT Bragg.
Can't stand the snow or cold especially when we are outside 8+ hours in it. My hat off to you, I don't know how you did it for 7 years.
Where are you at now or are you retired?

ETS...... Left there to Fort Huachuca and gave it up!!

Ouch I heard nightmares of Fort Huachuca. Hopefully you were stationed there and had family nearby. That looks like a very isolated and lonely installation.

Not to get entirely off the topic, but I spent a few months at Ft Huachuca prior to going to Vietnam in 1966. It was hot....I still have the Arizona license plate of the Dodge I bought out there in 1966.

Took clerk typing there....for those of you to young to remember typewriters were before computers.....ironically, upon landing in Cam Rahn Bay,Vietnam I became a photographer for the 17th Aviation Group...Photography is a great and rewarded business. I did it prior to that as a wedding photographer at just 17 years of age.

I used a twin lense rollei camera which shot I think 2 1/2 inch negatives at the time....

The other key feature is if your wife enjoys it that goes a long way.....

Looks ok. BW is truly an artform. Now people respect it less with digi everything tho. The gratuitous girlie pic isn't great tho. Can't make out anything arousing through contrast despite the foucs being set on breast's/abdoman intentionally. And depth is way too shallow, leaving the erotica of the way the hair lays and foreward arm out of focus. There's an entirely different set of depth parameter's to consider in the close-up world of human form. The first dog shot is ok, I hope this critique is being seen as constructive... But what's the 'stuff'? Snow? Great detail, but it need something to tie in the flakes on the snout, like maybe a falling snowflake in the air above to be really spectacular. But I'm digging her ability to shoot "industrial" with the chopper. That kinda work pays too. She's got the eye, if she works with it she could develope it into something Great through more technical perspective in the shot work.

I thought the "gratuitous girlie pic" was the best one lol I know nothing about photography, although I do DJ weddings and know the photographers can make good money.

Rivical, Thank you for your feedback, I will pass it along. Any criticism is good as long as it is constructive and we can learn from it from which your post was. As far as the girl photograph being out of focus and such, this was done intentionally. Most of the girls my Wife photographs do not want their faces shown online. What my wife does is set a very high aperture to make everything out of focus and blurry especially the face. That way she can still use the photograph for her portfolio but distort or make the girl's face blurry.

I just bought my wife the EOS Rebel T3i. I looked at the Nikon 5100 but since her last camera was a Cannon we stuck with them.
BTW The dog photo is really cool.
