I currently have a GSCA 210/205 cam. I would like something comparable either in brand or the same cam. I am not sure where to get a GSCA cam. Any ideas? Brand or where to get a GSCA cam?

I think the GSCA cam is the same as a Lunati Cam. A 210/205 Lunati cam is available from Jim Cook for $147.

This is the specs for this cam:

Duration @ 0.050", Intake 210, Exhaust 205
Duration Advertized, Intake 260, Exhaust 255
Lobe lift, Intake 0.294", Exhaust 0.284"
Valve Lift, Intake 0.456", Exhaust 0.440

Jim Cook Performance (phone) 662.893.0698

Look for web site under Lunati cams or Jim Cook Perfomance to get more details (lobe center & cam timing) on this and other cams.

Why are you replacing the existing cam?? I am no expert on cams for these engines, but might want to talk with others with more experience about if this cam is correct for your setup or not.

Well I am in the process of rebuiling my engine. We took the cam to a machine shop to verify our suspision. But we have 3 flat lobes.

In case you are curious, we bought the car in May with the engine only having 5000 miles on a fresh rebuild. It turns out the guy who built it put in the wrong bearings.

The cam was doing fine in the car before but we are just trying to play it safe.

I just read your signature, are you using the stock turbo??

I did not see any track times, so I am assuming you are using this for the street only (with pump gas).

Just a note based on my limited experience with the stock turbo. With your ported heads and cam you have increased the engine's VE so you will reaching the maximum capacity of this turbo at lower boost (psig) than I experienced with my stock block. Also, the most efficient boost with the stock turbo is well below the maximum capacity.

Therefore, even for 17 to 19 psig boost settings you should see lower boosted intake temperatures (less problem with knock) if you upgraded to a turbo with a larger compressor and more efficient exhaust turbine.

With the high temperatures we have in Phoenix, Arizona I was not able to push the stock turbo as much as others have been able to that is why I am in the process of upgrading my turbo even with a stock engine.

It is stock but I am also upgrading to the PTE TE-44 turbo as of this coming January. The best I did at the track was a 13.3 @ 112mph 12psi & 110 race gas. But it was also 100 degrees that day and I had an underlying problem which turned out to be the bearings.

My car has now been down for about 2 months now and we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Hoping to have it back together by the end of October.
