Hey guys. I am new to the gn scene (former fbody nut) I just bought an 87 low mile gn with no drivetraink, so I will be needing lots of advice from you guys. My first question is - I want this car to be a daily driven street/strip car capable of mid to high 10 sec. times. I have just found an engine for it and need opinions fast!! before the engine is gone. this is a pro built engine 109 block and has the following crap in it
- steel billet crank
- steel billet main caps
- roller cam setup
- fully ported and polished heads and intake with big valves
- balanced rotating assembly
- high flow oiling system
- coated headers
- injectors
- ta61 turbo
- all new on stand with build sheet
I'm probably leaving some stuff out, but you can get the idea.
what would you guys expect to pay for a setup of this caliber?
Is this overkill for my goals? The only damper is buying this engine would wipe out my toy fund, but I think it might be worth it because this engine setup sounds like what I need! Any advice would be great.
