I picked up a 237 regulator the other day, and I was wondering if I should put it on the car now. What if any would be the performance gains on a stock car? I will be running 16-17 pounds on the stock equiptment not to long from now. Will the 237 feed enough pressure to do so?

Any info is greatly appreciated.
Glen

I think the 237reg allows a little more fuel pressure than the stock 233. Maybe something like 45psi. Mine showed 48psi before I swapped for an adjustable. Guess it depends on your setup whether it would improve performance or not.

Well i also picked up an 237 Reg and i bought it becuase my chip that i bought from thrasher says that u need an adjustable Fuel pressure reg or a 237 Reg will work just fine....So i got the 237 reg...just so i can run the chip....without it i cannot run the chip...but i havent gotton to intall any of it becuase my car is acting up...

You can still run the 233 with the Thrasher but that not reccomend, there is not enough fuel supply (pressure) for the higher boost increase on the Thrasher, so if you going with the 233 reg. watch out for detonation.

I was getting enough fuel pressure with my 237 to run 18psi with alcohol injection preventing knock. But in the end since it's not adjustable you can't tune with it. For $65 plus S&H Mark Martone's adjustable fpr was well worth it.

With thrasher chips, I ran 11.66@115 before I ever deviated from 45 psi. I added a psi to 46 and my mph went up a little (after I was already running 11.60's at 115 - unless you are running this fast already, yours won't).

Thrasher chips aren't supposed to be tuned with fuel pressure changes, so if you plan to use the thrasher line of chips, the 237 regulator should get you into the low 12's with a 108 chip and race gas, even with stock turbo, injectors and intercooler.
